How can counselling help
According to the mental health charity MIND a third of us feel we don't have the tools to deal with the ups and downs of life.
Counselling provides you with many things; a safe confidential space where you won't be judged or made to feel silly. It can give you tools to help you cope with the challenges you are facing or have dealt with in the past. It enables you to see things from perhaps a different perspective and to help you work through the difficult things you are feeling. Above all it stops you feeling so alone with your struggles.
There are many reasons why a person may want to see a counsellor including relationship difficulties, stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, life events and those times where life may seem overwhelming. Counselling can be helpful as you can talk about yourself in a way that you often cannot do with family and friends.
